Afon Braint Snorkel Day: Surveying for River Health

Our recent snorkel day on the Afon Braint was a success! We conducted a series of in-river surveys to identify invertebrate species and assess the health of the river's ecosystem. The presence of key species, such as mayfly and caddisfly larvae, indicated that the river is rich in healthy organic matter – a positive sign for its overall water quality and biodiversity.

These findings are a great step in understanding the Afon Braint's health and support our ongoing conservation efforts.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of surveying. Although the weather was raining cats and dogs it was a great result in identifying the species present! Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved and help protect our local rivers.
